Band

Helpless is a metal band from Montreal, which draws its inspiration from many different bands such as Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, Machine Head and Gojira (more on Helpless Is Listening To).

It all started in 2010, when the two brothers, Alec (rhythm guitar) and Jessy (drums), met Daniel (lead guitar) for a show organized by their music school. By interpreting the music of other artists, they got to know each other better and develop a strong musical symbiosis. In August 2011, having this strong desire to write their own songs, they started their band Dying In Collapse. In October 2012, they welcomed Sébastien (bass) to the trio, which officially completed the line-up. Despite several auditions, the singer's place remained vacant. It was with the impatience of playing their original songs on stage that Alec finally volunteered as lead singer. In May 2014, finally ready to perform, they changed their name to Helpless, and from there, several shows followed in Montreal and nearby cities. In July 2016, they released their very first album entitled “Annihilation”. They performed with bands such as Anvil, Burning the Oppressor, Eternal Closure, Horcrux and Confined to Oblivion.

Currently in the studio, the band is writing and recording new songs in order to release their second album!
